Peaceful Way Women’s Retreat
May 23-25, 2014, Renewal Retreat by the River
“Sacred Relationships”
It was so wonderful to gather at the Renewal Retreat centre near Wingham, ON to gather in this natural and serene setting to create a time of peace, joy, love and unity. We joined together to celebrate the beauty of our Sacred Relationships and our unfolding expressions of our Self…in peace, harmony and love. It was time of contemplation, relaxation, comfort and fun as we enjoyed the weekend’s activities.

Friday night we created a sacred circle in a beautiful tepee to experience our unity and wholeness and we gratitude for our blessings.  Around the sacred fire we meditated and prayed and sent love to All.  We joined as sisters of one heart.

Saturday we gathered to deepen our understanding of our sacred relationship of “Self” love.  We grew into a dreep appreciation and acceptance of Self.  We created a Mandala of love, peace and unity with natural ingredients.

“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” e.e. Cummings

Saturday afternoon we created ‘sacred life wheels’ to weave our hopes and dreams into our consciousness, imaging that all things are possible.

We relaxed by the flowing river, walked in the woods, meditated in nature and walked the labyrinth.

Saturday evening we raised the energies through an “Initiation of love” ceremony, drumming and dancing.  As the sky darken we went to the fire pit and lit a bonfire.  We were greeted by a wonderful playful fire full of dancing ‘spirits’ that filled us with laughter and joy!

Sunday was a day where we shared our thoughts about how to create sacred relationships. There are new waves of conscious energy that is calling all of us to fully open our hearts so we may become harmonious with our Self and then share that harmony and love with others.  For those in Sacred Relationship, this sharing of love and feelings of devotion to another is a response to the call of our Sacred Heart to assist us to release our fears and love fully.

We danced Paneurhythmy, a wonderful rhythmic dance exercise, around the Labyrinth.

We shared our love of nature in a Blessing of the Earth Ceremony where we gave gratitude to all the wisdom of the directions, elements, Mother Earth, the cosmos, plants, animals insects, birds and all living creatures who share this web of life with us.

Throughout the weekend, we felt the loving embrace of the Grandmothers and we honoured them in our meditations, mantras and prayers.  For their strength, courage and loving spirit have carried the wisdom of the heart for centuries.  It is now up to us to pass this wisdom to our children and grandchildren.

As we closed our gathering, we were all feeling uplifted and filled with renewed energy, peace and love.

My deep appreciation to all the women who participate at the Peaceful Way retreat.  You are all so deeply committed to bringing peace and love into the world. You are an inspiration to all who meet you.  I thank you for the deep caring and sharing of your wisdom at the retreat.  I look forward to gathering with you at an another retreat as we continue to be ‘Sisters of the Spirit Mandala.”

The Awakening Women – Peaceful Path Mini Retreat Day

mini retreat heart mandala Feb.15.14

“The tongue of the original self is the language of the heart”. Julia Cameron

The theme of the Peaceful Way Mini Retreat Day on February 15th was ‘the Awakening Women’. We are all awakening each day to know who we are more fully. The role of the Awakening Women, the women who have said ‘Yes’ to peace and love in their lives, is now to share their peace, love and talents with the world in whatever way they choose.

“The purpose of our lives is to give birth to the best that is within us. It is only through our own personal awakening that the world can be awakened. We cannot give what we don’t have.” Marianne Williamson

So through music, poetry, dance, energy balancing, creative arts and meditation we relaxed, laughed and enjoyed the awesome energy that is also presence with heartfelt Beloveds. We shared and enjoyed quiet moments of reflection as we decorated heart boxes where we put thoughts about ourselves that we really like. So often we see the beauty in others but forget how beautiful we are. So we placed some beautiful thoughts into our heart boxes that we can look at to remind us of our inner peace and beauty that is always present within. Then we joined our hearts to form a lovely mandala!

We are Awakening – Chant – Deva Premal and Miten

We are awakening
To the calling of the mystic we
Are awakening
In the flowering of the heart
Everybody here melting into
Presence, overflowing
Rising in love

Om shanti (om peace
Satchidananda om (Eternal consciousness bliss om )
Shanti om (peace om)

We are awakening
To a long forgotten memory
Dawn is breaking
Waves are coming in
Everybody here
Standing in wonder Beneath the rain and the thunder
Rising in love

We are awakening
To this perfect imperfection
Celebrating in the oneness of it all
Everybody here
Part of each other
Sister and brother
Rising in love

This is truly an exciting time as we are awakening to our true self and loving who we are. We are receiving spiritual insights that are enriching us with love, wisdom and essence of our Light being. Now are we are creating and our magic is unfolding….

I love this quote from Dr. Seuss

“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You“. Dr. Seuss

Thank you to the awakening women who attended this retreat day. I was honoured to be with you and to share such beautiful moments.

The Peaceful Path Women’s Retreat was held on May 31 -June 2nd. at the Renewal Retreat near Wingham, ON. It was so wonderful to gather with 10 women in a natural and serene setting to create a time of peace, joy, love and unity. Our theme throughout the weekend was expanding our self-awareness, extending our being, and evolving into the beauty of our true selves.

At each retreat we begin on the Friday evening by creating a Sacred Circle and an unity mandala. It was a creative expression of our intentions and visions.

Saturday morning we talked about expanding our feminine presence. We had a wonderful outpouring of insights and sharing of where we are now on our peaceful path. We chanted, meditated and invoked the Divine Feminine Presence through the 11 Intentions by Lynda Terry. We all became vessels of peace and love. “Om, Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.”

“Allow Spirit to talk to you.  Listen to the trees, the water, the plants, to your inner voice.  Receive your message, a totem animal or plant, a gift in nature.” We went for a “Spirit Talks, Spirit Walks” to explore the beauty of nature and found inspiration to write Japanese Haiku poetry. ”

In a Japanese style Tea Ceremony we honour the  4 principles: harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility and enjoyed our green tea and rice cookies.

We enjoyed a peace ceremony, created sacred water and shared earth blessing with our mandala’s natural ingredients.  What a joyous time!

and listened to the beautiful “Nella Fantasia” by Russell Watson

Here is the English translation of Nella Fantasia – these words fit so well with our intentions of peace and harmony for all…

English Translation

Nella Fantasia – In My Fantasy

In my imagination I see a fair world, Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there. I dream of souls that are always free, Like the clouds that fly, Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.

In my imagination I see a bright world, Even the night is less dark there. I dream of souls that are always free, Like clouds that fly.

In my imagination there exists a warm wind, That breathes on the cities, like a friend. I dream of souls that are always free, Like clouds that fly, Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.

Peaceful Path Retreat for Women

Here are ten super reasons to attend the Peaceful Path Retreat for Women, May 31st – June 2 at the Renewal Retreat, Belgrave, ON

With Jane Rosalea Booth

6177389_origThe beautiful 5 Bedroom Log Home at the Renewal Retreat

Reason #1 – Caring About Yourself

The better you are feeling – emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually – the better your life will unfold and all around you will benefit from your transformation. Self care is a necessity and the time is now to step forward to be nurtured, inspired and experience a peaceful way.

Reason #2 – Making the Inner Connection to your Core Self

In our busy world, we seldom take time to quiet our mind, our body and our heart to our true Self within. It is within each of us that we find peace, love and truth. Find ways to reconnect with the real you…it is a wonderful experience, an everlasting one.

Reason #3 Allowing yourself to feel lighter.

Can you imagine a few days where you can relax and let go of your problems? You may find a new view, a new way, where your anxieties are released and you actually feel physically and emotionally lighter. Allow yourself to try a new way of being…a lighter, more peaceful way.

Reason # 4 Experiencing unity with nature

This retreat will show how deeply we are connected with nature and all life. You can enjoy quiet solitude on beautiful walking trails or sit by the flowing streams being mindful of the natural beauty around you. This natural connection heals and comforts. You will feel a sense of oneness and peace.

Reason #5 Expanding your spiritual awareness and intuition

Women are naturally intuitive and can understand one another without saying a word. When women gather, something magical occurs, a inner knowing and compassion, that unfolds that brings warmth and comfort to all…with just a smile. The retreat creates an awareness and remembrance of our intuitive self as we allow it to guide us in a trusting way.

Reason #6 Experience inner peace through meditation

During the retreat, we will have guided meditation to great a deep feeling of relaxation and inner peace. You will also have time for solitude and meditation on your own. There are many wonderful spots that you may find for meditation. The beautiful rippling stream at the Ecology Centre is healing and serene. Taking time for self reflection and quiet is calming and refreshing.

Reason #7 Laugh and renew the spirit of your inner child

When women gather at a retreat there is always lots of laughter to lighten our spirits and open our hearts. Whether it is while we share a meal or a workshop or gather at the fireside, it is always fun to share and allow our inner child to come out to play.

Reason # 8 De-stress, Rest and Relax

Taking time at a retreat to de-stress, rest and relax is something we do not do very often at home. Curl up with a good book or listen to music or even take a well deserved nap! The retreat provides free time for you to choose how you want to spend it.

Reason # 9 Opening to new ideas

Each retreat is about creating the ‘whole’ you so you can expand your preceptions and create the life you really want. Creativity seems to flow naturally at a retreat as new ideas and expressions of thoughts flow when we are in a environment that is supportive and understanding our challenges and encouraging our visions.

Reason #10 A sense of community

As we gather at a retreat, a supportive community seems to form in just a short time. We take away this sense of community and know that friendships have formed that can continue after the retreat is over. Many past retreaters keep in touch and return again to a new retreat that is always unique but always has the warmth of a peaceful community.

As the retreat closes, you will know that you have made a connection…created a new path… and a lasting memory of a special time.
